MotionAI Privacy Policy

MotionAI is made by Ozcan Zafer Ayan, an independent developer ("we"). This policy explains what the MotionAI iPhone app and the website (getmotionai.com) handle, why, and what you can do about it.

In short

• The iPhone app has no sign-up: it creates an anonymous account for your device. On the website you sign in with Google.
• Photos you choose to animate are sent to our server and to our AI video provider, fal.ai, only to make your video.
• We don't use analytics or advertising SDKs, we don't track you across apps, and we don't sell your data.

What we handle and why

Anonymous account. On first launch the app creates a random device identifier and keeps it in your device's Keychain. Our server stores only a one-way hash of it, together with an account ID. The account holds your credit balance, a record of credit changes (purchases, videos, refunds, daily rewards), your daily reward streak and your Premium status.

Website account. On getmotionai.com you sign in with Google. Google sends us a sign-in token that contains your Google account ID, name, email address and profile picture. Our server checks the token and stores only a one-way hash of the Google account ID, together with an account ID. It doesn't store your name, email address or picture. Your browser keeps your name, picture and a session token in its local storage to keep you signed in, until you sign out. The website account holds the same things as the app account: your credit balance, credit changes and videos. It is separate from the app's account.

Photos you animate. When you create a video from a photo, that photo is uploaded to our server and passed to fal.ai, which runs the AI models. Some templates first turn your photo into a styled image and then animate it. Our reference to an uploaded photo expires after 24 hours. We don't use your photos for anything other than your video, and we don't use them to train models.

Prompts and settings. The text you type, the template and the options you pick (quality, length, aspect ratio) are sent to fal.ai and stored with the video record on our server.

Your videos. Finished videos are served from fal.ai's content delivery network through a link that only your account receives. The app saves a copy on your device; on the website you can download it. We keep the video record (status, settings and link) until you ask us to delete your data.

AI Profile photos. Photos you pick for your AI Profile stay on your device. Quality checks (for example, whether a face is visible) run on the device. They are only uploaded if you create a video from them, as described above.

Photo library. MotionAI shows your library so you can pick photos. Browsing happens on your device; only the photos you choose to animate leave it.

Purchases. Payments are handled by Apple; we never see your card details. To give you credits and Premium, our server looks up your purchase with Apple and stores the transaction ID, product, dates and refund status, linked to your anonymous account.

Technical data. Our server uses your IP address briefly to limit abuse (for example, too many requests in a short time). Server logs contain account and request IDs and error types, not your photos or prompts.

Who processes data for us

• fal.ai: runs the AI models and stores uploads and results to deliver your video.
• OVHcloud: hosts our server.
• Cloudflare: hosts the website, and protects and delivers traffic to our server.
• Google: signs you in on the website.
• Apple: processes payments and provides purchase records.

They process data only to provide these services.

How long we keep it

• Account, credit and purchase records: until you ask us to delete them.
• Photo upload references: 24 hours.
• Video records: until you ask us to delete them. Links on fal.ai may stop working earlier, so keep your own copy.
• Rate-limit data: minutes to hours.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your data: open a request on our support page and include your account ID: Settings → Account ID in the app, or the account menu on the website. We'll delete your account and video records. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device; signing out of the website removes what your browser stored.
• Photos access: you can change MotionAI's access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
• Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or Türkiye's KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to its processing. Contact us through the support page to use these rights.

Children

MotionAI is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly process their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or on the website.
